BeoSound Balance

Bang & Olufsen BEOSOUND BALANCE

BeoSound Balance

Opulent, tactile materials crafted to last. Room-filling, omnidirectional sound. Beosound Balance is a sculptural statement with the smarts to match.

Sculpted, not built

Rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, Balance’s minimal design contrasts its stop-in-your-tracks sound. The materials? As rich and textured as your favourite song. From its sculpted solid base, to its Fibonacci patterned aluminium, this is artistry of the highest order.

Note perfect. No compromise.

Smart. Loud. Beautiful. With every crisp note and beat, Balance builds a soundscape. Seven uniquely placed drivers disperse music in 360 degrees – clear acoustics up front, powerful enhancers at the back. From the table to the wall, your music fills the room. With punchy bass, clear mids, and pure acoustic bliss.

Play your way

Clear 360-degree sound tunes everyone into the music. Better yet: beamforming technology lets you direct the sound your way, for those moments when you don’t want to disturb others. Wherever the mood takes you, switch modes at the touch of a button.

Reads the room

Placement? Optional. Sound? Optimal. Balance is equipped with active room compensation, so it will precisely re-tune itself to make the most of any position. Place it on a shelf, table or counter – even against a wall – and enjoy a sound-to-size ratio that will leave you floored.

BeoSound 2 (2016)

Bang & Olufsen BEOSOUND 2

BeoSound 2 (2016)

Captivating no matter where you place it, this powerful home speaker sounds as beautiful as it looks.

Aesthetic functionalism

Beosound 2 is designed for flexibility. Delivering the morning news from the kitchen table or playing discreetly from the living room floor. With its clean lines and small footprint, it has an adaptable design that fits in everywhere in your home.

A seamless piece of beauty

Crafted in high-grade aluminium with incredible attention to detail. But our material choice go well beyond aesthetics. It also provides superior acoustic properties thanks to its material stiffness and seamless surfaces that eliminate any distortion of your sound.

The essence of control

Beosound 2 has a built-in proximity sensor that makes the control panel light up when your hand is hovering over the controls. The top of the speaker works as a minimalistic control panel. Simply tap one of the four favourite buttons to start one of your preferred radio stations or playlists, turn the wheel to adjust the volume and tap on one of the arrows to change tracks.

Active RoomSense

Beosound 2 works out where it is in the room to give you perfect playback, every time. Ensuring bass, mids and highs are never too overpowering or weak. Wherever you place it, it gives a standout performance. No muddiness. No fuzziness. Just pure, clean sound. As the artist intended.

BeoSystem 9000C

Bang & Olufsen BEOSYSTEM 9000C

BeoSystem 9000C

The Beosystem 9000c is a beacon of beautiful sound, and your personal record store window. Paired with the Beolab 28 speakers, we’ve brought the Beosound 9000 CD player to the present.

Only 200 of these exist

We’ve stripped the original Beosound 9000 CD player to its core and rebuilt it from the ground up. Guided by design legend David Lewis’ original vision to proudly display your music, instead of hiding it in a black box. Its tall, transparent form makes a gallery of your albums. A duo of Beolab 28s showcase the unbeatable fidelity of your CDs. It’s a goosebump-raising partnership of acoustics and aesthetics. This is Beosystem 9000c.

All the benefits of cutting-edge tech. All the beauty of classic design.

Beosound 9000c is an icon of the past. With an ear to the future. A new anodised floor stand and fabric cable add texture to the famous silhouette. Want to truly bring past into present? The integration of Beoconnect Encore enables the player to connect seamlessly with two Beolab 28s – and all their modern features. Sound you can direct as you choose. Bass that adapts to any room and placement. Precise stereo coordination. In an age where CDs are considered obsolete, Bang & Olufsen celebrates the legacy of the CD with the Beosound 9000c. As champions of fidelity, we meticulously recreated this iconic CD player to give you every note, detail and beat of your collection. Like you’ve never heard it before. It’s not just about the superior sound. It’s feeling the music in your hands. Lingering on the artwork. Carefully choosing your lineup. With a 90s style control panel and six-CD changer to play with, Beosystem 9000c brings that back in the biggest way possible. Every listening session becomes an event. Each time you press play, you touch the music and it touches you.

The engineering of Beosystem 9000c isn’t just for show. It is the show.

The CD clamp accelerates as quickly as a sports car. An LED ring shines as it takes your discs for a spin. And with that speed comes seamless switching between individual album tracks – no matter which CD they’re on. It’s a single, endless stream of sound. 31 years before digital got there. All housed under a glass case to keep the artwork and movement as crystal clear as the music.

Imagined in London. Born in Denmark.

Soho, London, 1995. Bang & Olufsen designer David Lewis walks past a record store window and stops in his tracks. He sees six CDs, laid out in a row. A gallery of album art. It gets his mind turning: imagine you could put your music on display, instead of hiding it away in a black box. The idea for the Beosound 9000 was born. A six-CD changer and record store window in one. Designed so that everyone can bring a CD to the mix. And fill the home with an endless stream of beautiful sound.

BeoGram 4000C

Bang & Olufsen BEOGRAM 4000C

BeoGram 4000C

The original iconic turntable which set the standard for all record players that came after – reimagined for contemporary use.

Launched in the 1970s, the Beogram 4000 series turntables defined the aesthetic of an era: becoming a classic with music lovers, collected by art museums and included in design history books

Step 1

Disassembly and inspection

Step 2

Refurbishment and restoration

Step 3

Recreation and upgrade

We wanted to revisit the Beogram turntables to celebrate how there are unchanging values which make a product beautiful and unique. Values that have held true at Bang & Olufsen since 1925.

Now, with the Beogram 4000c Recreated Limited Editions, we meticulously source and restore original units. These editions honour our rich heritage, celebrating timeless values while adapting to the modern sound systems.

The Beogram 4000c Recreated Limited Editions is the first instance of Bang & Olufsen’s Classics Initiative: in the near future we will be revisiting more of our most iconic products, reimagining them for now and coming decades.

STEP 1

Disassembly and inspection

The Beogram 4000 series reimagining process begins by bringing the selected turntables back home to Struer, Denmark – the same facilities where they were created. Every Beogram is disassembled manually then thoroughly inspected to assess each unit’s needs.

STEP 2

Refurbishment and restoration

Every single component of each Beogram is painstakingly cleaned. New parts are added – from the smallest screw and ball bearing to the drive belt – ensuring perfect functionality. Once this process is complete, each Beogram is individually tested then fine-tuned until we know it will achieve the precision performance we demand from all of our products.

STEP 3

Recreation and upgrade

We then create new design elements – from the hand-crafted wooden frame to an updated finish on the minimalistic and intuitive control pad – to enhance the original beauty of the Beogram. Our final step is to upgrade the technology – installing a preamplifier and adding a new pickup cartridge – to make the Beogram easily integrate with contemporary home speaker setups..

Innovative looks, innovative technology

The innovative tangential tonearm was striking in its day, and part of the reason the original Beogram was an instant classic. But it wasn’t for looks. The way the tonearm was built made it able to play vinyl at an angle that was as close as possible to the way the record was cut. This made it truthful to the original recording, staying honest to the artist’s intentions.

Jacob Jensen

When Jacob Jensen designed the Beogram 4000 Series turntable in 1972, he was looking to the future of audio design. His aim was to completely rethink the turntable to achieve a better-performing product that would stand the test of time. ‘No-one should care about how bridges are built – the point is to find out how to get to the other side in the best possible way,’ he explained.

The collaboration between Bang & Olufsen and designer Jacob Jensen is legendary, and set one of the most influential standards for product design

In the construction are selected high-quality loudspeaker units (one 16.5 cm woofer and one 2.5 cm tweeter) and applied a carefully designed cross-over network to improve its acoustic performance so the sound dispersion in the treble area is optimised.

Most in-wall loudspeakers are either round or square, but Bang & Olufsen has chosen the elegant, discrete, oval design for BeoVox 1 applying typical Bang & Olufsen craftsmanship. It will be available with either a white or black grille but at launch only the white version is available to order.

Many loudspeakers designed for installation in a wet environment may show an IP rating. This applies to products which can be dangerous to touch when water is in the vicinity because it may splash through the product surface and into the electronics. However, BeoVox1 is a product which is not directly connected to mains electricity so it may be installed directly over a bath or in a wet environment without the need to quote an IP rating.

BeoVox 2

The Beovox 2 is a passive loud speaker designed for in wall or in ceiling mounting. An unusual feature is the ability to turn the speaker to focus the sound in a particular direction. This is designed to be done at the time of installation and once directed , the speaker is fixed in this position.

There are two models, the 2.1 which has a 3/4″ tweeter and 3″ midrange/woofer and the larger 2.2 which has the same tweeter but boats a 5″ midrange/woofer. This allows the reproduction of deeper notes to be achieved.

The 2.1 is 18cm in diameter whereas the 2.2 is 23cm.
